Speaking of welcome mats, trade yours out for one with a summer theme or saying to show your personality. Finally, add a tin bucket for guests to put their flip flops or sandals in so they don’t drag beach sand indoors.
Add some color
You can get away with a lot of colorful décor in the summer months. If you have wanted to experiment with a bold color for your front door, this is the time to try it out. You can also add pops of color with a painted rocking chair, colorful wreath, or vibrant pots full of plants.
Add some life
Now that winter is over, be sure you are power washing away the grime from your entryway and adding a bit of seasonal life. Porches are perfect for pots full of ivy, flowers, or even a few container vegetable gardens. The greenery can make even a traditionally dark colored door more lively for the season.
