Let’s talk doors! The doors you choose for your home can be practical or can be beautiful statement pieces that represent who you and your family are! Whichever you choose, we can help you make the vision you have for your home come to life! You have choices to make and we’re here to help you make the best ones and install the doors of your dreams! From the exterior doors of your home to interior room doors, you need to decide on colors, materials and style. Energy efficiency is another fact to consider in choosing doors for your home. Whether you’re replacing doors, remodeling them or deciding on new doors for a new home, we’ve got you covered!

Your front door provides entrance into your home and gives a person a first impression of your home’s personality. There are countless design types you can choose from when choosing your front door. You want to choose a style and color that compliments the architectural concept of your home. You can choose from traditional front doors, modern front doors, farmhouse front doors, etc. Each of these add different character to your home.

In addition to choosing a style of door, you need to choose a material for your door. Generally, doors are made of fiberglass, wood and steel. Each material is functional and performs well, but each also comes with its own pros and cons. You want to choose the one best suitable to your style and budget needs. Most doors perform well so it will really come down to what aesthetic value you want to add and how much you want to spend on it.

The features you want to pay attention to when choosing an entry door are glass, rails and stiles and adjustable thresholds. The adjustable threshold adds to the energy efficiency of your door by keeping it closely sealed so it’s weather proof. Glass inserts are beautiful on doors. If you’re budgeting for your doors, consider that glass does add to the cost of your doors. Rails and stiles are the parts that brace wood doors. Be sure to get rails and stiles that are made of the best material that will stand up to the test of time. Generally, laminated wood covered with veneer are best because they resist the warping that usually happens over time.

Interior doors throughout your home add a little a magic. Most rooms in your home deserve a door and each door should add a little personality to the room it serves! Let Rusco help design your dream home! We won’t let you down!
